RCP was appointed by QIC and Scentre Management Ltd to provide independent superintendent and specialist programming services for the $350m major first stage development of Coomera Town Centre.
The shopping centre features casual dining and entertainment offers, fashion and lifestyle stores, a market style fresh food precinct and community spaces. Tenants include Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Target, Event Cinemas and approximately 140 specialty stores.
RCP oversaw the fixed price design and construction contract with Scentre Design & Construct, as well as delivery of the infrastructure agreement between the joint owners and Gold Coast City Council.
RCP provided a senior retail team who effectively established a strong working relationship with all parties and acted independently and impartially with respect to the certification of monthly payment claims, progress of the works in line with the approved project programme and delivery of the project in line with the contract documents.
RCP communicated effectively with the major stakeholders throughout the project’s critical delivery stages and acted diligently in meeting the requirements of the joint owners and retail tenants.
RCP’s thorough monthly status reporting and independent certification reporting on cost, programme, statutory and contract issues was critical in mitigating risk to the joint owners and ensuring the project achieved completion on time and on budget.
RCP maintained an exceptional level of quality and consistency of services throughout the project. They thoroughly understood our expectations for the successful delivery of Coomera Town Centre and provided invaluable advice and recommendations at critical project stages, instilling confidence in the joint owners that the project was progressing seamlessly.
Coomera Town Centre opened on schedule in November 2018. I commend the RCP team for their integrity and service excellence. RCP’s leadership and experience were critical to the seamless delivery of Coomera Town Centre. I would have no hesitation in engaging RCP on future projects of this nature.
