RCP is proud to have been awarded the 2020 Australian Institute of Building Queensland Chapter Professional Excellence in Building Award in the project management category for our outstanding achievement on the Atlas apartments residential development in South Brisbane.
RCP Senior Project Manager Paul Palenkas was presented the award by AIB Queensland Committee Member, Todd Lane.
RCP was appointed by Long Ze International Development Group to provide project management, and specialist programming services for the apartment development. The development, designed by Ellivo, comprised of the construction of 2 towers totalling 210 apartments, a level 3 podium and a 2 storey basement car park.
Delivered in two stages, the first tower built by PBS Building, totalled 114 apartments was successfully completed in July 2018. RCP was subsequently reengaged to project manage the construction of the second tower, which was successfully delivered in July 2019 and built by Tomkins Commercial & Industrial Builders.
Led by Senior Project Manager, Paul Palenkas, RCP continuously sought opportunities to achieve programme improvements and reduced cost outcomes. Paul was instrumental in maintaining a harmonious project team environment whilst driving the efficient and effective delivery of both project stages. His strong on-site involvement played a key role in establishing harmonious communication and teamwork.
Paul proactively collaborated with all stakeholders to meet development objectives and ensure a high-quality project outcome, delivered within the client’s budget and time parameters. Paul’s leadership and experience ensured the client’s first foray into high rise development was an overarching success.
Congratulations to Paul Palenkas, Ian Kerr and Mario Youssef and the Atlas apartments project team for their outstanding achievement on this highly successful development.
