RCP is proud to have been awarded the 2020 Australian Institute of Building South Australian Chapter Professional Excellence in Building Award in the project management category for our outstanding achievement on the GPO Exchange development in Adelaide.
The award was presented to RCP Associate, Tom Dalrymple, at the ceremony, held last Friday night at the National Wine Centre of Australia.
RCP was engaged by Charter Hall to perform project management, superintendent and specialist programming services for the landmark $250m development. The project consisted of the construction of a new A Grade 22 storey office tower, retail outlet and a laneway precinct. Additionally, the iconic Telephone Exchange was refurbished as boutique office space.
As RCP project leader, Tom’s leadership was instrumental in the successful delivery of the project, which is the largest to date undertaken by Charter Hall in South Australia. The project was completed on time, under budget and within Charter Hall’s key requirements.
Designed by Hassell (lead architect) and Fitzpatrick+Partners, and constructed by Built, Tom ensured all project team members goals were aligned and that the team maintained a collaborative focus on best for project outcomes.
The completed development has achieved world leading sustainability credentials and incorporates several state-of-the-art technologies that haven’t been used before in South Australia and are now being rolled out nationally across Charter Hall’s assets.
Congratulations to Tom Dalrymple, Richard Little, Hayden Kiss, Mario Youssef and the GPO Exchange project team for their outstanding achievement on this highly successful development.
