92,000m2 Floor Space
Critical & Intensive Services “Hot Floor”
RCP commenced work on this project in January 1998, shortly after appointment of the Managing Contractor. RCP was responsible for ensuring the trouble free execution and administration of the contract on behalf of Queensland Health.
The project comprised some 92,000m² of space, providing accommodation for 560 beds, emergency, outpatients, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neuroscience, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oncology, haematology, palliative care, head and neck, general medical and transplants and renal medicine services.
The new hospital building provides a “hot floor” concentrating on critical and intensive services and including operating theatres, intensive care and high dependency units.
