RCP Brisbane was engaged by the Queensland Government through the Major Sports Facilities Authority to provide Project Programming consultancy services for the new $120m (construction budget) Gold Coast Stadium, Robina.
The stadium, built on a five hectare site, with an international standard all-weather natural turf playing surface caters for a range of uses including rugby league, rugby union, soccer and entertainment events. The stadium features 25,000 seats, consisting of general admission, members, corporate — including private box and private suite – and also press seating. Corporate facilities include corporate suites with dining behind glass and outside seating, open boxes and function rooms. Facilities at Back of House are catered for with separate change rooms for four teams, referees and a number of other change rooms, Match Day office with reception, players lounge/green room, access tunnels, coaches boxes, video referee’s booth and medical, media and venue management facilities. Kitchens are also provided to service corporate areas, with separate food and beverage outlets provided in main patron circulation areas.
