RCP were engaged by Colonial First State Property Management in the role of Project Manager / Principals Representative for the construction of the second stage of the Queens Plaza project on Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall. Stage 2 of the project included fit-outs for a David Jones store, Coles Central supermarket and over a dozen new specialty retail tenancies.
Constructed by Watpac, the total project took almost 4 years to construct at a total development cost of approximately $300m.
The project involved the retention of two heritage listed buildings and one heritage façade, as well as the construction of two new 4 storey buildings that dovetailed into the existing structure with minimal disruption to operating specialty tenancies and the trading David Jones store.
