RCP was engaged by Energex to manage the tender process to select developers for the provision of land and development services for a new distribution centre. The new distribution centre replaces the aging facility at Banyo. Energex was seeking to purchase a suitable site and have a purpose built facility establishment to suit its future warehousing needs.
RCP assisted and co-ordinated the shortlisting of tenderers, preparation of tender documentation, assessment of tenders, negotiation with shortlisted parties and documentation of contract deeds with the selected developer.
RCP also provided project management, contract administration and programming services to oversee the construction of the facility.
Significant additional value was provided by the experience of RCP suggesting that the land sale be separated out of the clients preferred single contract ‘turnkey’ arrangement, savings being realised on government stamp duty.
