RCP has been awarded a High Commendation in the construction / engineering projects having a total project budget in excess of $100m category at the Qld Chapter of the Australian Institute of Project Management 2013 PMAA awards.
Established to recognise, honour and promote outstanding achievements in program and project management, RCP was awarded for the project management of the Wintergarden Redevelopment Project for ISPT Pty Ltd. Entering the project at the 11 month stage of a 27 month contract (and seven months into construction) RCP was engaged by ISPT to replace the original Project Manager and to deliver the $103million redevelopment. Located in the retail hub of Brisbane’s CBD, the site included a five star Hilton Hotel operating 24/7 and comprised the amalgamation of five building areas, with the iconic 25 year old centre remaining open throughout the construction.
Led by RCP Director Ian Kerr and Associate Tim Jones, the RCP project management and programming team included Gary Landers, Chris Kelly, Paul Palenkas and Richard Langthorne. The AIPM undertake the PMAA awards to showcase projects that demonstrate outstanding achievement / excellence and/or innovation in the application of project management.
