‘The Trusted Advisor* is the person the client turns to when an issue first arises, often in times of great urgency. The benefit of having an established relationship with your advisor is the advantage of prior knowledge and understanding of your business when an issue has to be addressed. Good working relationships are one where the advisor is a partner in business with the client, proactively working together from when the project idea is first conceived.
With the ever changing myriad of issues in the development industry, the role of the advisor has become even more crucial to the process of achieving success whilst maintaining focus on the bigger picture. Early input is critical to creating strategies for project delivery, particularly when confronted by seemingly unresolvable contradictions in requirements.
RCP’s development advisory services, led by Ian Kaye, can focus on creating alternative strategies thereby providing a variety of potential tactical plans. By acting early, strategies can be developed that offer a range of risk profiles in regard to the fundamentals of cost and time linked to market opportunity.
On the Kelvin Grove Urban Village masterplan development, RCP provided input when it was important that an early start on a specific building was needed well ahead of the overall subdivision being completed and a new Local Area Plan town planning scheme in place. RCP assisted with crafting a development strategy that included separate ROL and Building DA’s, staged subdivision construction works packages, ‘licenses to occupy’ to allow construction to proceed ahead of the creation of lot titles , and bonding of uncompleted works to permit early Plan Sealing by the BCC.
Experienced with providing strategic advice on a range of projects including the RNA Masterplan, Newstead Riverpark, ENERGEX Northern Metro Office and Northshore Hamilton UDA Masterplan, RCP’s expertise is in managing the process of engagement with government, statutory authorities, regulatory bodies, financial shareholders, internal and external stakeholders and the community.
As project managers who understand development management, RCP’s experienced team aim to be your trusted advisor.
