RCP Australia Director Greg Atkinson was delighted to be invited to be part of a panel of experts for Holding Redlich’s 2024 Construction, Infrastructure & Projects seminar series. This first seminar “Navigating Contractual Waters: Addressing key issues in construction contracts.” Holding Redlich’s specialist Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team were joined by Greg who provided an expert project management perspective. The discussion looked at the intricate world of contract drafting, recurring issues currently at the forefront of negotiations in the market and insights to prevent disputes, implement appropriate risk allocation and enhance contract clarity.

PROJECT UPDATE: Grosvenor Place refurbishment project. The first phase of the refurbishment project, within Grosvenor Place Sydney, was recently completed with the successful delivery of two full office floor tenancy spaces. The floors were stripped back to base build finishes, and the full upgrade of the lift lobbies and amenities to three floors. We now move on to the second phase which will see the complete refurbishment of the remaining 14 levels and their associated lift lobbies, amenities, etc.

As the corporate partner for @propertycouncil in Townsville, RCP Australia attended the lunch held on Friday 15 March 2024. The topic of the day “Transforming Townsville – Exploring the role that precinct governance plays” looked at examples of successful precincts and governance models from overseas and in Australia and what could work in Townsville. Hosted by PCA CEO, Mike Zorbas, the conversation featured keynote speakers Kate Meyrick, Director at @urbis_au and Luke Fraser, CEO, @howardsmithwharves who spoke about their experiences with governance and how it can affect the attraction and vitality of a precinct.
